I'd be embarassed, too...

Ever notice how on the Discovery Channel's reconstruction TV shows (plane crashes, natural disasters, etc...), the only one to have a blurb mentioning how some people's names have been changed to protect their identities is the one which reconstructs supposed paranormal events, A Haunting?

It's not to protect those people from harm like in crime reconstruction shows where somebody might get killed if their role was known in bringing down a major criminal. The only possibility is to protect them from embarrassment. I don't even know why the Discovery Channel even runs this crap - it's not like it's real science, but then again, the whole quality of their programming seems to be going down hill.

Take Daily Planet, for example. More and more they are rerunning segments from a few months ago, and not just during the summer hiatus. Such a shame too. DC used to be my favorite cable channel.
